The Godfather

On Michel return, he convinces Kay to marry him and also his father recovers and makes peace with the enemies. He also learns that, another don is planning to relaunch the narcotics endeavor that created the problem at the first place. After Michael is crowned as the head of the Corleone family, he launched a campaign of killing each and every person or gang that once tried to kill Corleone’s members. The movie was nominated for 11 Oscar Awards and won the Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Adapted Screenplay awards.

The Shawshank Redemption

The Shawshank Redemption is one of the most popular and also among the best movies ever made. The story starts in 1946 and revolves around a banker called Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins). Andy is sentenced lifelong imprisonment because of a double murder that the court finds him guilty of. However, he claims that he is innocent. Andy is taken to the Shawshank prison in Maine where he meets another prisoner facing same punishment, Ellis “Red” Redding, played by Morgan Freeman. Andy soon discovers the dark side of the prison, the corrupt warden (Bob Gunton), cruel inmates etc. Andy is also picked as the new recruit that will crack easily under pressure by Ellis. But Andy does not break and uses his banking knowledge instead, in order to help guards as well as the warden of the jail. The movie won a lot of awards including the Golden Coach for Clint Eastwood at Cannes Film Festival 2003.

Forrest Gump

Tom Hanks plays an Oscar-winning role in the movie Forrest Gump as he narrates his life and his relative intelligence to a stranger while waiting for a bus. Gump has lived a really simple, harmful yet exciting life with his sub-normal IQ and being at some big events in the human history. For example, he teaches Elvis Presley without even knowing it. Since that moment, he becomes the part of the family and with the help of his partner in crime, Tommy (Joe Pesci), he becomes Paulie’s lieutenant. In the series of events that follow, Hill finds himself the target of both police as well as mobsters who think that hill has turned into a threat to their security because of his lose and reckless dealings.
